valentine's day frames

happy valentine's day!
This year I decided to do something a little bit different...
I created these "framed Valentines" for my kids this year.

I made two with blue ribbon for my boys...

And red/white polka dot for my daughter...

I chose to frame the song lyrics for Rod Stewart's "Forever Young" (LOVE this song).
I created the chalkboard effect in a desktop publishing program, printed it out, and placed it in a 5" x 7" frame.

I added the Ribbons Unlimited, Inc. ribbon bows, and embellished a wee bit with some felt hearts, stick pins, bling and/or buttons.

I LOVE how easy this ribbon is to manipulate to create the soft flowing effect of ribbon 'waves'.

The Ribbons Unlimited, Inc. ribbon that I used:

1 1/2" sky blue ombre ribbon
1 1/2" holiday red/white polka dot ribbon

Did you create anything special for your loved ones for Valentine's Day?
If so, I'd love to see, please link up your projects so I can check them out!! :)

Hope you have a LOVELY Valentine's Day!!
(((((hugs)))))
