long time no see, sorry about that.
Today I have some fun projects to share with you.
As you may, or may not, be aware, I decided to try out for the Spellbinders 2013 Design Team competition. to my surprise, I made it through Round 1, Round 2, and the final round!
Unfortunately, yesterday rather than a congratulatory phone call, I received an email informing me that I was not one of the eight chosen for the new team. And I'm okay with that. I truly believe that things happen for a reason, and apparently my time and talent is needed elsewhere.
I am excited to share the projects that I made throughout the competition, so here we go:
For my initial entry, I designed a card and matching envelope.
For the second round, we were asked to create an altered project and provide a hands only video tutorial on how that project was made:
And for the Final Round, we were sent two sets of Spellbinders dies and asked to create a scrapbook page incorporating said dies.
I think you know me well enough to know that I am *NOT* a scrapbooker.
I am, however, happy to report that I am proud of my VERY FIRST scrapbook page.
Yes, VERY FIRST page. I ordered Instagram prints from my daughter's (large) collection of Instagram selfies!
And since I do not plan on creating any more scrapbook pages, this page will be going in a 12 x 12 frame and hung in my daughter's room as a decoration (she really likes it!).
So, that's that. I am thrilled to have been asked to continue on throughout the entire competition, and I am looking forward to seeing where my paper crafting journey will take me next! :)
thanks so much for stopping by today!!
